Year 2 End of Unit Maths Tests

Tests for every unit

There are Y2 end-of-unit maths assessments covering all the areas of maths including number and place value, additional and subtraction, fractions, properties of shape, statistics, position and direction etc. There are three tests covering each area of maths. This allows for one test to be set before teaching a unit, and a different one at the end.

For all maths schemes

Each of the Year 2 end-of-unit maths assessments will assess all the National Curriculum objectives for a specific area of maths. This means they are ideally suited to work alongside any of the popular schemes of work including Power Maths, White Rose, the NCETM Prioritisation Scheme and others.

Space for working out

For some questions, space is provided for children to show their working out. This can be done using a mouse, trackpad, touchscreen or stylus. This benefits the teacher as they can see how a child solved the problem. If children prefer to use paper, they can – it won't affect their score.

Marking and analysis

When a child has completed a Y2 end-of-unit maths assessment, it is instantly marked. Example answers are available for children when they review their results. Reports are also generated for teachers which highlight areas of strengths and weakness for both the class and groups of children. All reports can be downloaded.

Track objectives

Each time a child completes a Y2 end-of-unit maths test, the Objectives Table is updated. This table gives the class teacher an overview of which National Curriculum objectives each child has achieved. Class reports and individual child reports can be downloaded as PDFs – a big time saver for parents' evening!
